What's all the buzz about CBD oil? | Just The FAQs

CBD, or cannabidiol, is said to help alleviate pain and certain disorders. It has exploded in popularity since President Trump legalized the cultivation of hemp, but is CBD a medical miracle or just another fad?

Is America on the verge of going CBD-crazy? There’s some evidence that we’re headed that way. Cannabidiol, or CBD – an active but not psychoactive compound found in marijuana (that is, it won’t get you high) – has been credited with near-magical powers. Its proponents claim that it can combat everything from acne to depression to Parkinson’s disease. While scientists say that it has indeed proven useful for treating childhood epilepsy and may be useful for curing insomnia, anxiety, and some chronic pain, many of its other supposed benefits have yet to be proven. That hasn’t stopped a lot of Americans from giving it a try.

If you can't buy the extract we make at endoca.com, make your own natural medicine using Cannabis. What you will need in order to make your own Cannabis oil are the following: Cannabis or hemp plant material (dried and shredded), glass bowls, plastic spoon, alcohol (over 60% pure), Sieve, coffee machine, several Coffee filters (depending on how much material you have to process), water distiller or rice cooker or pan and hot plate paperclip, cigarette lighter. Make your own Cannabis oil at home, EASILY by following few easy steps. The first step consists of putting the cannabis plant material into a bowl and covering it with cold alcohol. Next, you will need to stir for three minutes with the plastic spoon and then sieve the mixture into another bowl. Then, filter the mixture through a coffee filter and distil the liquid until 80% of the alcohol volume has gone. If you use a rice cooker or hot plate to evaporate the alcohol, it is better to do this outside. Don't forget however that the fumes are very flammable and could explode. Afterward, pour the remaining liquid into a small bowl and make sure you heat on the coffee machine hot plate for 24 hours in order to remove the remaining alcohol. The final step is to take a paperclip, dip it in the oil and try lighting it with a flame. If a spark occurs there is still alcohol left so you should place it back on the coffee machine for a few more hours. If you would like to store the oil, draw it up into a medical syringe and keep it in your fridge. Cannabis oil / CBD oil is our specialty at Endoca. We make the highest quality CBD oil and Cannabinoid extracts, using our state of the art lab, supercritical CO2 extraction process and GMP procedures to create a true medicine that is helping thousand of people all around the world.

The Scientist (2015) Medical Marijuana: Studying For a Higher Purpose - Prof. Dr. Raphael Mechoulam

“The Scientist” is a documentary that traces the story of Nobel prize nominee Dr. Raphael Mechoulam from his early days as a child of the Holocaust in Bulgaria, through his immigration to Israel, and his career as the chief investigator into the chemistry and biology of the world’s most misunderstood plant. Dr. Mechoulam ascertained that THC interacts with the largest receptor system in the human body, the endocannabinoid system (ECS). Research on Cannabinoids Over the Decades and What’s to Come - Raphael Mechoulam

Over the last few decades research on the cannabinoids has gone through several distinct phases: A. Research on plant cannabinoids [mostly on tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD)]. B. Research on endogenous cannabinoids [mostly on anandamide and 2-arachidonoyl glycerol (2-AG)] C. Research on endogenous anandamide-like endogenous fatty acid amides with amino acids and ethanol amines. A. Plant cannabinoids. While many dozens of plant cannabinoids are known today, most research is still on THC and CBD. THC has been approved as a drug for enhancement of appetite, and is also used to prevent vomiting due to cancer chemotherapy. However of particular interest is CBD, which does not cause the typical cannabis psychoactivity, but is a potent anti- epileptic drug and is used in many countries in pediatric epilepsy. It is being evaluated in other therapeutic areas (graft versus host disease, schizophrenia, autoimmune diseases). B. Endogenous cannabinoids. The endogenous cannabinoids anandamide and 2-arachidonoyl glycerol (2-AG) were discovered in the 1990’s. Both compounds bind to the cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2. They are involved in a very large number of diseases, mostly as neuroprotective entities. However neither anandamide nor 2-AG have been administered to humans and although they are highly promising as potential drugs clinical trials have to be undertaken. C. Anandamide-like endogenous fatty acid amides with amino acids and ethanol amines. A large number of compounds of these types have been discovered in the brain and other tissues, and some of them have been shown to be of major importance in a large spectrum of biological functions and diseases. Thus, oleoyl serine is an anti-osteoporotic molecule, arachidonoyl serine is a vasodilator and lowers brain damage and oleoyl glycine has anti addiction properties.

Dr Christina Sanchez - Cannabis Kills Cancer Discoverer!

There are chemicals in many plants that have bioactive properties. One is resveratrol, first shown to have anti-cancer effects many decades ago. There is a lot appearing on medical news sites these days about medical uses of marijuana. In fact a medical colleague of mine is promoting this. But the news reports say more clinical trials are needed. The medical profession is always open to new cures that work and don't have adverse side effects. There can be confounding factors in observational studies that are not rigorously controlled. Publication in a high quality journal after rigorous peer-review is required before acceptance

Fighting Breast Cancer w/Cannabis: Anti-Tumor Effects of Cannabinoid Therapies/ Dr. Cristina Sanchez

It's pretty clear to us... that cannabinoids have anti-tumor properties."

Renowned medical cannabis researcher and molecular biologist Cristina Sanchez, PhD explains "The Anti-Tumor Effects of Cannabinoid–Based Therapies on Breast Cancer Subtypes," focusing on new cannabinoid receptors and their involvement in cannabinoid anti-tumoral action in breast cancer and other types of tumors.

In this presentation, Dr. Sanchez describes how, in pre-clinical models of cancer:

•  Cannabinoids like THC and CBD exhibit cancer-fighting traits when targeted toward specific receptors and breast cancer tumors.

•  How all breast cancer subtypes (Hormone Sensitive, HER 2+, Triple Negative) respond to cannabinoids.

•  How whole-plant cannabinoid extracts (per entourage effects) were more potent than pure cannabinoid isolates.
